Mary Segars Art Exhibit – Tuesday, September 9th through Tuesday, December 30th. Mary Segars is this year’s Edisto & Beyond Tour Artist, and this exhibit will feature a number of her works, including her paintings of the properties featured on the 2014 tour.


Monday, September 22nd – “The Unknown Soldiers of Otter Island” by Harvey Teal (The EIHPS Lecture Series).  7:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island (2164 Hwy 174).  No admission and open to the public.

Friday, September 26th – Reception for the 2014 Edisto & Beyond Tour Artist and Tour Docents. 6:00 p.m. at the Edisto Island Museum.  EIHPS members and invited guests only.

Edisto & Beyond Tour of Historic Plantations, Churches and Graveyards – Saturday, October 11, 2014 -Tickets go on sale to the public on Wednesday, August 6th. This year’s tour features the following properties: Sunny Side Plantation, Cypress Trees Plantation, Blue House Plantation, Jack Daw Hall, “At Ease” Beach House, the Murray and Jenkins Cemeteries, Zion Reformed Episcopal Church, Old First Baptist Church, Trinity Church, and the Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island. Tour tickets are $45 each.  The tour is sold out.  However, we will have @ 10-12 tickets that have been donated back to us for resale, and those will be put on the website during the two weeks before the tour.

Before you leave, spend some time in our gift shop. We have a special section of books, games and toys for children as well as adults. We also feature a wide selection of one-of-a-kind, hand-made crafts from local artisans, including jewelry, pottery, wood carvings and paintings. And, because we're a non-profit organization, there's no sales tax so you save money while supporting a worthy cause. We hope to see you soon!
