EIHPS Lecture Series July 7

Our next speaker is Patricia McNeely, whose talk, “Historic South Carolina Ghosts and Legends,” will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6^th.  The lecture will be held at the Historic Sanctuary of the New First Missionary Baptist Church (1644 Hwy. 174).  The lecture is free and open to the public.

 

McNeely was our guest lecturer last summer, and the event was so popular that we’re having her come again.  She will be adding some local ghost tales to others from around the state.  What kid doesn’t love a ghost story, so be sure to bring them.

 

USC Professor Emerita Patricia McNeely taught writing and reporting in the College of Journalism for 33 years. Prior to joining the USC faculty, McNeely was a reporter and editor for The Greenville News, The State, and The Columbia Record.  She is the author of several books, including “Historic South Carolina Ghosts and Legends.”
